The practitioners
behind the work

Compliance practitioners and engineers building the testing we wished we had at every compliance job we held. The company story is on the About page.

Operators who got tired
of the tools being terrible

A small team of compliance practitioners and engineers building the infrastructure we wished we'd had at every job we ever held.

Andres Garcia Sr.
Andres Garcia Sr.
Founder & CEO

Andres spent a decade building and scaling risk and compliance programs at some of the most complex fintechs in the industry: leading AML at Interactive Brokers, running compliance through hypergrowth at Block and Cash App, and leading enterprise compliance across multi-bank BaaS partnerships at Bluevine. He has seen the other side of the desk too, at Promontory Risk Review and AML RightSource, where the consulting model shows you both its value and its ceiling. He thinks in systems, not checklists: handed an audit full of findings, he did not stop at remediating them, he designed the issue-management and governance structure that brought the count down. Rupture Labs is the infrastructure he wished he had at every compliance job he ever held.

Melissa McMillan
Melissa McMillan
Chief Revenue Officer

Melissa has spent more than eleven years as a commercially minded customer success executive. She started a customer success advisory agency and exited it through acquisition. She brings her expertise in post-sales, marketing and sales to Rupture Labs. She has spent her career inside early-stage startups, driving revenue and reducing spend: she helped take OvationCXM from $5M to nearly $50M in ARR and seed to Series B, joined Electric for the run from Series D to a billion-dollar valuation, and led post-sales turnarounds at Evolv AI and Screencastify that lifted net revenue retention and took NPS from negative territory to the high 70s. She has contributed to closing, retaining and upselling logos including PayPal, Bank of America, Discover, Square, Toast, Verizon and British Airways: payments, banking, telecom and aviation, the same spread the engine covers. She lends that view to developing compliance solutions around what a regulated institution actually needs and what makes it stick once they have it, and she owns go-to-market at Rupture Labs end to end.

Yichen Zeng
Yichen Zeng
Chief Technology Officer

Yichen owns the technology at Rupture Labs, from the retrieval and reasoning layers through to what ships. He studied computer science and neuroscience at Berkeley and is completing a master's in EECS there. As an undergraduate he was first author on published UCSF research into retrieval systems that carry their citations down to the individual passage, which is the problem underneath everything this company promises: an answer a compliance officer can actually file is one that can point at the source that produced it. He holds the work to a discipline most forecasting refuses. Every call is recorded before the outcome is known, and graded afterward whether it was right or wrong.
